FHSAA 1A Girls 4x400m Relay
Chaminade-Madonna 3:52.30
The Chaminade-Madonna girls had the fastest 4x400 meter relay squad in the entire classification by over a dozen seconds coming into the state meet as the only sub 4 minute squad in the field.
The gap between them and the rest of 1A in the event was apparent again in the actual state meet race as well with the very young lineup including several freshman won by 10 seconds with their finishing time of 3:52.30. With Cambridge Christian graduating a few of their key distance girls, Chaminade-Madonna might be in similar strong position next year to compete for state team title with this gorup.
Pahokee was the next closest squad to them in the race with a 4:02.01 season best just holding off the likes of Oak Hall (3rd, 4:02.18) and Maclay School (4th, 4:02.64).
