The National Scholarship Invitational Returns to IMG

Layla Haynes won the girls' 800m last year in 2:09.79 at NSI.  She was just one of the outstanding athletes that showcased their talent. The Barbados native and IMG graduate now runs for the University of Florida.

 The National Scholarship Invitational (NSI) and Multi Event National Championships are back at IMG Academy. The event is set to take place June 1-2 and promises to be a pivotal opportunity for aspiring student-athletes in track and field.  The meet offers a unique platform to showcase their talent and take advantage of scholarship opportunities.  The meet is scheduled strategically two weeks after the FHSAA State Finals and two weeks before most national events. The NSI provides a prime opportunity for athletes to extend their season and strive for personal bests. For those who may have missed the postseason, it's a chance to make one more impactful performance.  

Last year's inaugural event was a resounding success, with over 20 college coaches in attendance and more than $700,000 awarded in scholarships on site.  This years goal is to give away more than 1 million dollars in Scholarship Awards. 23 student-athletes secured university placements directly through the NSI Meet. This years goal is to Coach Hassaan Stamps, the visionary behind the event, emphasized the importance of providing exposure opportunities for all athletes, regardless of their background or circumstances. "In a landscape where many talented student-athletes go unnoticed, we aim to bridge the gap and provide a platform for every aspiring athlete to shine," remarked Coach Stamps. "The NSI is not just about athletics, it's about creating life-changing opportunities for our youth." 

The NSI has also partnered with NCSA College Recruiting underscoring the event's commitment to connecting student-athletes with college coaches actively seeking talent. NCSA is the largest college athletic recruiting platform.  It shares the mission of empowering student-athletes to pursue their academic and athletic dreams. NCSA's presence at the NSI will offer invaluable resources and guidance to participants and their families. 

Registration is now open for athletes interested in participating in the second year of this groundbreaking event. College coaches who are interested in attending or businesses/organizations keen on sponsoring are encouraged to reach out to secure their involvement.
