Sr. Jonathan Pena of Westminster Academy is having a great season so far. He ran a 15:17.30 in his 18th place finish at the Great American XC Festival in Cary, NC. He won at Park Vista and has three runner-up finishes: Cecil Field, Miami Country Day Open 1, and at Spanish River.
Jr. Matthew Dodds of IMG Academy as 27th at the Great American XC Festival with a 15:26.40. Dodds won the IMG Academy XC Invite and was 2nd at Seffner.
Sr. Jayden Santos-Gonzales of Oak Ridge HS won the Metro East Championship with a 15:35.90. He won his opener at Ocoee High School, was 2nd at the West Orange Invitational and has won two in a row now, with wins at Spanish River and the Metro East Championship.
Jr. Evan Spreitzer of Holy Trinity Academy was 2nd in the Blue Boys Division at the Great American with a 15:38.20. He has raced three times this season with a 3rd at the Wickham Jamboree, a 1st in the 1A race at Spanish River, and his 2nd at the Great American.
So. Juan Pablo Castillo-Zima of Bishop Kenny HS was 13th at the Alexander/Asics Invitational in Fairburn, GA with a 15:41.04. He was 13th at Cecil Field and 5th at the Kate Caples Invitational.
