Meet Summary & On-Site Coverage at Chiles

The participants at the 10th annual Chiles Track and Field Championships couldn't have asked for better weather. With sunny skies and temps in the 60's, conditions were perfect for record breaking runs and setting personal goals. One meet record broken today was in the boys 3200. The previous course record of 9:56.5 was set back in 2007. Matt Mizereck, a senior from Leon High School, broke the record, running the 3200 in 9:30.06. Matt is also the cross country state champion.

The girls Distance Medley Relay winners from Florida High were pleased with their win. The team was comprised of one junior and three freshmen, Sarah Jackson, Marissa Sheals, Sydney Earp, and Allie Murray, and they finished with a time of 13:49.99. "We met our goal time." The girls have their eyes set on making state. Good Luck Ladies!
