Eighth-grader Will Irby of the Boca Warriors Track Club in Boca Raton has experienced a dramatic improvement over his 2024 cross-country season. He ran five 3Ks in 2024 with a PR of 10:44.04, finishing 38th in the FLYRA MS State Cross Country Championship. This year, he has run four times, with a win at the Indian River Fairgrounds XC Invitational in 10:35.60, a third-place finish at Spanish River in 10:23.00, and two fourth-place finishes at Jim Ryun (10:41.60) and a PR of 10:09.30 at the Florida Horse Park Invitational. He runs next as one of the top-seeded middle school runners at the FLRUNNERS.COM INVITATIONAL this weekend. Watch for him as he is one of Florida's FUTURE STARS.
