Day One Highlights:
- DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS VIDEO by Todd Grasley
- Phillip Dorsett of St. Thomas Aquinas sets a meet record and US #1 mark of 24-7.45, which last season would have been #2 in the state and top ten in the nation at season's end! That is a new meet record by a long ways. However, after that feat he injured his right knee during the triple jump. No word yet on the severity.
- Hugh Graham of Miami Northwestern is the top seed in the 100 (10.92) and 400 going into day two. His prelim time in the 400 was 47.48, which is a meet record and US #1.
- Shannon Spence of Miami Northwestern wins the long jump (18-0) and finishes second in the triple jump (35-11.75).
- Last week's Warrior of the Week, Briana Pulido of Archbishop Carroll is top seed in both hurdle events going into day two, fifth in the high jump, third in the long jump (17-6.75).
- Barbara Vilson of South Dade won the high jump in 5-6, putting her as number one in the state.
- Tynia Gaither of Osceola is top seed in both 100 and 200 going into finals.
- Robin Reynolds of Miami Jackson is top seed in the 400 and is complete on her team's SMR and 4x4.
- Levonte Whitfield of Jones is second seed in the 100 going into Saturday (11.01).
- Kevin Delgado of Coral Parklaunches the shot to a state leading 53-11 with Michael Montero of Miami Columbus second in 52-4.
- Amazing battle in the girls discus... Mia Mike of Pace wins out with a 127-6, just six inches better than Amber Monroe of Miami Northwestern, and just back third place was Northwestern teammate Lloydricia Cameron who is just a freshman and was the middle school state champion last year. Monroe made it a double by winning the shot put in 39-0 over teammates Shehara Parmer (38-8) and Cameron (38-5). Mia Mike was fourth in 37-7.
Day Two Highlights:
- DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS VIDEO by Todd Grasley
- Meet MVPs are Hugh Graham, Jr. of Miami Northwestern and Tynia Gaither of Osceola.
- Graham wins 100m in a 10.60 over Levonte Whitfield of Jones in 10.87. And then Graham Jr. comes back and dominates in the 400 meters with a blazing time of 46.97, winning by 2.35 seconds.
- Gaither wins 100 in 12.09 and 200 in 24.56.
- Armando del Valle wins on cruise control in the 3200 with a time of 9:30, lapping all but 7 others in the 35 peron field. He and his teammates of Miami Columbus go 1-4. There were similar results in the 1600 where Del Valle paces his teammatesand wins in 4:33, with Jose Estevez in tow.
- Ebony Rose of Dr. Krop wins 800 in meet record 2:16.57. She also won her heat of the 1600 in 5:42.55 for good measure with a 17 second marg.
- Robin Reynolds wins 400m with state leading 55.03 and leads her Miami Jackson team to victory in the 1K Sprint Medley (2:20.87).
- Sophomore Artie Burns of Miami Northwestern sweeps guys hurdles with 14.07 and 37.75--both best times in the state this year.
- Briana Pulido of Archbishop Carroll continues to improve in the 300 Hurdles with new PR and victory of 44.83... she finished 2nd in 100H (15.31). This comes after day one of 6th in the high jump (5-0) and third in the long jump (17-6.75).
- Miami Northwestern boys clock a 3:17.05 victory in the 4x4 over St. Thomas Aquinas' 3:19.01.
- Miami Columbus win 4x8 in 8:13 over Miami Central's 8:16.
- Jones guys earn big time time of 41.74 in the 4x1 to take the state lead.
- Our Lady of Lourdes breaks 10 this year in the 4x8 with a 9:55.06 over St. Thomas Aquinas' 10:00.18.
- Northwestern ladies outkick Norland in the 4x4 3:53.22 to 3:57.73. And the bulls are at it again in the 4x1 with 48.00 over Osceola's 48.28.

Lake Brantley Open
Highlights:
- Octavious Freeman of Lake Wales posts new state leading marks in both the 100 and 200 with 11.57 and 24.54, respectively. She also finished second in the the long jump with a 17-6 to Keara McKnight of Wekiva who jumped 17-8.
- Lake Wales girls blast a nation-leading 46.79 in the 4x100... that ranks 7th all-time in Florida based on our records (which truthfully only go very deep back a decade). No matter how you slice it... wow!
- Britni Strates of Edgewater and Joy Brown of Evans each clear 5-4 in high jump. Strates also wins triple jump in 37-0.
- Nick Posada of Winter Park is victorious in 3200 in 9:39.
- Jovan Davis of Wekiva sweeps the hurdles: 300 Hurdles in 39.08 and 14.40 in the 110. Kyle Crompton of Ponte Verde is second at 300 in 39.58.
- Big battle in the girls 300 hurdles with Carmelia Stewart of Wekiva getting to the line first in 45.63. Three others within a tenth of a second: Martisha Hart of Oak Ridge (46.18), Wilkerson Jazzmine of Evans (46.27) and Samantha McCan of Lake Brantley (46.28).
- Lake Mary Prep shows their strength in the pole vault with Erica Sergent winning in 11-0, Paige Byrnes getting third in 10-6, and Alex Woodruf coming in fourth with a 10-0 clearance. Stephanie Cook of East Ridge interupted their dominance with a 10-6 second place performance.
- Otniel Teixeira of Lake Brantley wins easily in the 800 with a 1:56.37, after winning 1600 in 4:22 with eight second margin of victory over Will Anguish of Winter Park.
- Abby Hani of Lake Mary Prep wins 400 in 58.89.
- Lake Brantley girls cruise to 4:01 4x400.
- Jamie King of Winter Haven wins shot put in 36-9.
- Jose Santania of East River wins 200 (22.14) and 400 (49.56).

Brooks PR Invitational (Indoor meet in Washington)
- Torrey Campbell (Barron Collier) ran an 8.07 in the prelims as the fourth seed and then came back beat some of the best hurdlers in the nation with a 7.82 victory that is the third fastest in the nation this year.
- Arman Hall of St. Thomas Aquinas ran a new national leading indoor 400 time of 47.45 to win.
- Marvin Bracy of Boone and Jerimy Strainge of North Broward took second and third in the 60 in 6.75 and 6.80, respectively. The two will face off again next week at flrunenrs.com Primetime along with Michael Bellamy and others.
- Ryan Pickering of John I Leonard was 8th in the mile with a 4:16.06.
- Erika and Kathryn Fluehr of Community School of Naples finished 10th and 13th, respectively, against an all-star cast. Erika ran an 11:30.92 to Kathryn's 11:48.25.
- Stephanie Schappert of Pope John Paul finished 12th in the mile with a 5:07.74.
Mitchell Early Bird
Highlights:
- Kelli Wiliams of Mitchell wins 800, 1600 in 2:24, 5:11.
- Raqurra Ishmar of Brooksville Central gets three wins in rare combination of long jump (16-10), shot put (39-4), and discus (117-0)!
- Andrew Bales of Mitchell clears 14-6 to win pole vault.

Highlander Invitational
Highlights:
- Lindsey Enders of Holy Trinity clears 12-2 for victory in the pole vault. At this same meet last year she only cleared nine feet... long way to come in a year!
- Shelby Davidson of Cocoa Beach wins the 1600 in 5:07. Davidson comes back to battle it out with eighth grader Julie Wollrath of Holy Trinity in the 3200. Wollrath prevails at the line 11:05.11 to 11:05.36.
- Ansley Gebben of First Academy throws us off a little bit by running the 800... and winning with a very solid time of 2:18.52 for the hurdler. She also won the 100 Hurdles in 15.36.
- India Adams of Holy Trinity won the high jump in 5-5.
- David Kilgore of Holy Trinity takes the 3200 by almost 30 seconds with a 9:34.
- Winter Park boys lead the state it the 4x800 with an 8:05.
East Coast Classic

- Emily Ahrens of Vero Beach wins true mile in 5:12 to teammate Grace Thomas' second place finish of 5:17. Order is reversed in 3200 as Thomas eeks out the win over Ahrens in 11:31.04 to 11:32.62.
- Nathasha Stewart of Vero Beach gets to big time marks to win long jump (18-5) and triple jump (37-5).
- Marquis Noble of Buchholz sets state's second best boys long jump on the year with a 23-6 victory, Jimel Wright of Deland was about 10 inches back for second. Noble also wins 200 in 22.25 and 100 in 11.03 into the wind.
- Cecil Rolle of Buchholz wins 400 in 49.38 by .8 over Yeovanti Williams of Flagler Palm Coast's 50.19.
- Senior LaQuentin Smith of Dr. Phillips fires a 51-7 shot to win by over six feet.
Episcopal Eagle Open
Highlights:
- Emily Smithwick of Episcopal wins pole vault in 10-6.
- Garrett Scantling of Episcopal clears 6-9 in high jump as new state leader.
