They are kinda listed on FHSAA.com so far as of this post 3:20 pm its only girls and it is a pain to go through as it doesn't say what class only what district and region. Also many teams I know of are not even listed to search for. Many teams are listed twice... Boys are not up yet

Looks like we are back to 20+ school in a District. Wow! 1A Region 2 District 4 has 21 schools!!!! Geographically covers 180 miles. Holy Cow.

@raycer131 still not equitable. 3A D4 has 10 teams. 3A D5 had 22 teams. So 8 out of 10 get out in D4 and 8 out of 22 get out in D5.

@Altimari13 Agreed...think that's why they originally split up the Tampa Schools...maybe they forgot If they take 5 or 6 out of 3AD5 and move them to 3AD4 that looks how it was and makes it more even

@Altimari13. All of them have been corrected and duplicates have been taken out. The numbers are horrible from district to district.

@crobertson33 I just looked at what was recently updated. They combined all the Tampa 3A Teams with the pinellas 3A teams. But failed to spread things out. Qualifying 8 out of 10 teams is absurd when the neighboring district has over twice as many teams. Absolutely no thought went into this

Some of them are still a muddle. Just checked 2a, and there’s a ton of duplicates still.

Do you think the FHSAA will go back to qualifying only the Top 6 teams from Region to State?? I think after 1 year of having only 4 teams qualify, we have learned that 8 teams was way too much.. I personally think the perfect number is SIX teams to State (total of 24 teams).. Thoughts??

@Gooch7 I think they should go to 8 from both district and region.

I've seen 2 potential mistakes where a school is in the wrong classification based on their size. One of them might be because a school elected to move up a class. The other is in a class lower than where they should be. This is all assuming the populations from the report on FHSAA were used.

@Gooch7 I will be discussing why 8 is better at FACA...I was until recently a staunch opponent of having many teams at state...but my eyes were opened after a deep data dive...

Will the track classifications mirror the cross country ones?

The fhsaa cross country classifications look like a rough draft of emails I write without proofreading. Hopefully clearer official list out soon

I know of a school that isn't listed in any of the classifications.
