MEET SUMMARY
Winter Haven proved that it does live
up to the Coaches' Association poll.
They looked really good, and I got a
look at what they have.. impressive-
more on that later. Palmetto, who is
in our district, might be a
surprise..no one saw it but they looked
good, beating out a tough and equally
surprising Lake Region team. Could
Coach Moody turn another team around at
Lake Region, like he did last year with
Bartow? Looks like it. Bartow's
Hanley shined, but Spath has dropped
off considerably, appears to be lacking
desire, was not #2 for Bartow..still a
talented squad. Sebring (us) we did
about what we expected for the first
meet, we were 30pts behind 'Tow.
Rebuilding from loss of seniors, some
talent and good showings here.
