Robin Reynolds now has in her posessions two middle school state meet records. The first was her 11.93 100 meter dash, which incidentally came in a slower heat due to an apparent clerking miscommunication. Then she came back and ran a 55.08 400 meters for another record. Robin also came back after those two state meet records and ran the 200m in 24.39 (record is 24.30) and the 800m in 2:22. That is one amazing quadruple especially considering there is little break in between! Jamair Hughs of Jinks MS broke the boys 200m record with a time of 22.54 and finished second in the 100 with an 11.05. Alyse Rogers set the new 200H record in 29.09. Kyle Crompton won both hurdle events, and just got under the 200H record in 25.94. Megan Walker clearned 9-6 to tie the record. And finally, Lee Williams broke the triple jump record setting the new mark at 40-6.5, bringing the top to seven records tied or broken. There were also plenty of other great marks coming amazingly close to records themselves! Great competition all the way around! Check out the results. Photo Album | Meet Results

I apologize for the quality of these photos. My camera has "schmoots" on it and I tried to clean it and made it worse if anything. I also had to leave after the Girls 400 to get ready for the 4A meet.

The seventh annual Flrunners.com Middle School State Championship will go on as scheduled on May 3 at 9AM. The meet will be again held at the National Training Center in Clermont. There were some doubts whether the meet would happen in 2008, simply for lack of time by flrunners.com founder Jason Byrne, who had been responsible for the majority of the planning for the event.
