In Her Own Words: Autumn Bartlett - Cross Country Goals Worth Chasing

This year I definitely have much to look forward to. From the local meets to the FHSAA state series there are many events that I am excited for as I reach for some of my senior year goals.

Some Specifics I'm Looking Forward to:

Chain of Lakes- Chain of Lakes is my ultimate favorite course with it's beautiful grassy straights and bridges passing by the shimmering lakes. Whenever I run there I cannot help but feel positively and I'm certain that I'll have a good race on this fast course. Specifically, I am looking forward to running one of the best meets of the season FLRunners.com! Hopefully I will have the opportunity to run in the acclaimed ROC again this year!

UF Mt. Dew- Despite the rumors about how difficult this course is I am so very excited for the competition of the race and I look forward to the opportunity to run against some of the top runners in the state of Florida.

Pre-State- Although the FHSAA State course is not easy by any stretch of the imagination I always look forward to running it as it provides both a mental and physical challenge that truly pushes a runner to another level of determination. My goal this year is to maintain a strong, steady and controlled pace throughout the race's duration.

Overall this entire season will undoubtedly be a continuous series  of exciting races and events that I can't wait for. As for the goals that go along with the excitement for each race, challenge accepted.
