1A Districts
District 1 Results: Maya Espinosa, a junior out of Baker, took the individual district title in a time of 21:01 with her teammate, Julia Knight, following behind in a time of 21:13. Espinosa and Knight led the Baker girls to a 30 point team district victory. Freshman, Jonathan Tutton, out of Pensacola Christian Academy took the boys win in a time of 17:41. Along with the help of Ben Fulford, Carstan Cochran, Andrew Birx, and Caleb Henderson, the Pensacola Christian boys won the district meet.
District 2 Results: CANCELLED - All teams advance to region.
District 3 Results: Junious Brown won the boys district title in a time of 16:32 dominating the field by over two minutes and led the Maclay boys to an 18 point team win. Maclay eighth grader, Ella Porcher, won the girls race in 21:15 to lead the Maclay girls to a 21 point team win and a 22:08 team average.
District 7 Results: Admiral Farragut Academy junior, Philip Henderson, won the boys district race in a time of 16:41 with his teammate David Fiorillo following behind in a time of 17:23. Henderson and Fiorillo led the Admiral Farragut Academy team to a 38 point team win. Out of Door Academy eighth grader, Maria Shaw, took the girls individual win in a time of 20:32, leading her team to the team title.
District 8 Results: First Baptist Academy eighth grader, Katie Beam, won the girls race in a time of 20:28. Elle Eisele finished second in a time of 21:23 to lead her Canterbury girls team to the team title. Justin Merrell, a junior out of Seacrest Country Day School, won the boys race in a time of 17:32. Ethan Tank finished 8th in a time of 18:49 to lead the Southwest Florida Christian Academy boys to a 73 point win with a 47 second 1-5 split.
District 9 Results: It was a battle between Circle Christian and Father Lopez in the girls race with Sinkenesh Parker taking the district title in a time of 19:33 and Mary Peck taking second in 19:46. Sinkenesh led the Circle Christian girls to a 24 point team win. Mount Dora Christian continued their dominance in class 1A with Gabriel Curtis and Jackson Pruim cruising the race to go one and two in a time of 17:14 and 17:15. The team won the meet with 21 points.
District 10 Results: Lakeland Christian eighth grader, Gretchen Caswell, won the girls district title in a time of 21:02 on Holloway Park. Mirabella Miranda finished fourth and led the Windermere Prep girls to the overall team win. Seth Martinez out of Lakeland Christian won the boys race in a time of 17:05 and led the boys to a 41 point team victory.
District 11 Results: Carly McNatt ran a state leading time of 17:13. She would have won both the boys race as well by quite a margin. Holy Trinity squad walked away with a perfect score as Lillyanna Bienz out of John Carroll was racing with out a full team. Zach Rohrbough out of John Carroll took the boys win in a time of 17:34, winning the field by nearly two minutes. The John Carroll boys captured the district team title with 31 points.
District 12 Results: Ted Twyman, a senior from Benjamin School, won the boys race in a time of 17:08 and led the Benjamin boys to a team district title. Kemper Reback, a senior out of Jupiter Christian, won the girls race in a time of 21:12 with her eighth grade teammates: Mia Taylor and Alyssa Benson following behind in 21:28 and 21:56. Jupiter Christian took the district 12 team title with 21 points.
District 13 Results: The King's Academy girls and boys sweep their district with freshman Mia Rodriguez taking the individual title in a time of 20:11 and Cameron Dunn winning the boys race in 17:24.
District 14 Results: Joseph Anderton out of South Florida HEAT dominated the boys race running a time of 16:20, over two minutes ahead of the entire field. The South Florida HEAT girls swept the meet going 1-5 with Paige Saville leading the way in 21:17.
District 15 Results: Miami Country Day was led by their young team of Lauren McGaffic, Rachel Hodes, and Bella Smilowitz who went 20:17, 21:04, and 21:42 to win their district with 17 points. Gianni Pestano, a Doctors Charter junior, won the boys race in a time of 19:01 and led the boys team to the 27 point team win.
District 16 Results: Florida Christian freshman, Abigail Rashid, won the individual title in a time of 21:09. The Westminster Christian girls were led by Claire Kennedy and they took home the District 16 team title with 30 points. Marathon HS went 1 and 2 with Aydan Child and Jonathan Pitchford leading the district in 16:45 and 16:48. Reilly May finished fourth and led the Palmer Trinity boys to the district team win.
