2A Districts
District 1 Results: Mason Bennett, a senior out of Arnold HS, won the boys title in a time of 16:53. Jacob D'Aleo finished fourth in a time of 17:17 to lead the South Walton HS boys to the team district title. Skylar Grant, a junior out of West Florida Tech, ran a time of 19:29 to win the girls race. Patasha Bryan followed for second in a time of 20:09 to lead the South Walton girls to the team victory.
District 2 Results: Summer Williams out of Florida High School took the girls overall win in a time of 20:40. Christopher Porter out of Rickards won the boys district championship in 17:12. Wakulla HS girls and boys swept the district team titles. The boys were led by Daniel Wiedeman who finished second in a time of 17:49.
District 3 Results: Sydnee Calder continues her strong season with district win in a time of 19:41 as she led the Fernandina Beach girls to the team victory. In the boys race, Fernandina Beach swept the meet with John Sorensen and Steven Durr leading the team in 16:46 and 16:53.
District 4 Results: Bolles stole the show with perfect scores on both the girls and boys side. Elizabeth Csikai led the girls in a time of 19:28. Six girls were sub 20 minutes with a 19:36 average. The boys took 1-6 place with every boy under 16:50 and Charles Hicks winning the race in 16:03. The boys finished off with a 16:19 team average.
District 5 Results: Alex Guy, a senior out of Keystone Heights, won the individual title in a time of 16:54. Nathan Parks, a senior out of Eastside, led the Eastside boys to the team win with 31 points. Kierra Chauncey, a junior out of Interlachen, finished strong for first place on the girls side in a time of 21:40. Freshman Ella Steen led the Santa Fe girls to the overall district title.
District 6 Results: Conrad Prisby, a junior out of The Villages, won the boys race in a time of 16:49. Jacob Alejo out of Tayler Middle-High finished second in a time of 16:59. Adam Aldrich finished fourth in a time of 17:14 and led the Port Orange Atlantic boys to the team district title. Rebecca Clark cruised to her district victory in a time of 19:46 as she led the Villages girls to a 25 point team victory.
District 7 Results: Citrus HS took the first three places in the girls race with Mackenzie Scordato leading the way in a time of 19:40. Citrus girls took home the team win in a team average of 21:17 and 29 points. Jacob Hensley won the boys race in a time of 15:52 with John Jessup out of Gulf HS following for second in 16:03. Jessup led the Gulf boys to a 51 point win.
District 8 Results: Montverde Academy duo, Lily Henne and Kendyl Cardwell took one and two in the girls race, running 18:33 and 19:05. It was a battle for the team title between Montverde and Trinity Prep. Audrey McAnally, Andrea Hunt, and Alaina Pisello led the Trinity Prep girls in a strong fight. The team title went to Montverde with 35 points, with Trinity Prep right behind with 36 points. Christopher Wilhelm, a senior out of Trinity Prep, won the boys race in a time of 17:11. Jai Phillips, a junior out of Lake Highland, finished second in 17:15 and led the Lake Highland boys to a 40 point team win.
District 9 Results: Anderson Denton, a junior out of Lake Wales HS, continues to have a stellar season, adding a 16:15 district win onto his record. Mac Updike and Stephan Ward went 16:41 and 17:45 to lead the Lake Wales boys to a 25 point win. Dylan Branch, a junior out of Avon Park, finished second for the boys in a time of 16:18. Emily Vargas, a junior out of Avon Park, won the girls race in a time of 19:16. Vargas was followed by Cristal Gomez and Gabriella Rybinski out of Frostproof who went 19:49 and 20:40. Led by eighth grader, Emma Nales-Torchio, McKeel Academy took the girls team win.
District 10 Results: Reed Legg out Citrus Park Christian school took the boys district title in 16:19. Trey Morris out of Berkeley Prep finished second in a time of 16:57 to lead the team to a 25 point win. Jacqueline Abanses won the girls race in a sub 19 minute performance of 18:41 to lead the Citrus Park Christian girls to a 30 point victory.
District 11 Results: Lakewood HS took the first two places in the boys race, with Gavin Pagan and Lucas Sheridon running times of 18:33 and 18:43 to lead the team to a 34 point win. Sofie Dericks, a freshman out of Clearwater Central Catholic HS, won the girls race in a time of 21:18 to lead her team to a 20 point victory.
District 12 Results: Bishop Verot took the top three girls places with Hailey Albrecht leading the way in a time of 21:17 to help her team capture an 18 point district title. Jose Salgado, a sophomore out of LaBelle, won the boys race in a time of 16:45 to lead his team to a 51 point team win.
District 13 Results: Gabriel Montague captured the boys individual win in a time of 15:33 with Troy Smith, a senior out of Rockledge, following behind in a time of 15:37. Montague and Justin Wilson led the Satellite boys to a 31 point team win. Billie Castillo won the girls race in a time of 18:28 with her teammate Paige Jaszcuzak following behind in 18:50. Rockledge seniors, Margaret Ward and Magnolia Lake, had stellar races running 18:52 and 18:58 to lead the Rockledge girls to the team title.
District 14 Results: Eleanor Tymorek won the girls individual title in a time of 19:09 with her Saint Andrew's teammate, Lydia Szakacs, finishing second in a time of 20:29 to lead the girls to a 39 point victory. Saint Andrews took the top 3 places in the boys race, with Ian Noble paving the way for a 19 point team victory with his 17:27 performance.
District 15 Results: Tsion Yared has yet another sub 18 minute performance in the hot south Florida weather. Pine Crest girls walked away with a 19 point district win, with the boys taking a 35 point team win. Archbishop McCarthy senior, Thomas Rodriguez, ran home with a district title in a time of 16:54.
District 16 Results: Natalie Varela won the girls individual race in a time of 19:10 with recent Furman commit, Nicole Matysik, following for second in a time of 20:13. Noemi Kerjean led the St. Brendan girls to the team title with her 20:31 performance. Gulliver girls placed second. Robert Pedroza and Owen Allen went one and two for Key West running 16:23 and 16:50. It was a close race between Key West and Ransom Everglades. James Cusack ran a time of 17:33 and led the Ransom boys to a 30 point team victory with Key West right behind with 33 points.
