Each week, during the outdoor season, we will profile a boy and a girl FUTURE STAR. Last year, we recognized eight boys. Here is a look at their indoor and early outdoor performances in 2026. We will monitor them as we progress through the outdoor season and introduce new FUTURE STARS each week.

Navid (2) and Emiliano Lozano were two of the eight boys recognized in 2025 as FUTURE STARS. Above, at the One Mile at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in January, Navid won in 4:56.30, in a battle with another rising eighth-grade star, Pedro Rodriguez (4:56.36) of the Miami Elite Track Club. Emiliano was third in 4:46.76.
