2025 T&F FUTURE STARS. Where are the Girls in 2026?

Each week, during the outdoor season, we will profile a boy and a girl FUTURE STAR. Last year, we recognized five girls. Here is a look at their indoor and early outdoor performances in 2026. We will monitor them as we progress through the outdoor season and introduce new FUTURE STARS each week.

Aliana Alvarez of the Red Sea Running Club continues to make her mark in Florida distance running. The fourth grader was the Flyra MS State XC Champion and the Middle School XC Nationals Champion, running 7:25.80 and 7:17.00, respectively, in the 2000m. Indoors in 2026, Alvarez ran a 5:44.00 One Mile and a 2:38.49 800m at Jimmy Carnes. Outdoors, she has an 11:30.14 3000m at the TCCL Meet #1 and a 2:38.68 800m and 1:16.61 400m at the North Florida Youth Track League Series #1.  



Gillian Carvalho of Ransom Everglades. The freshman has no indoor or outdoor marks in 2026. 



Montverde freshman Kylee Brown was third in the 2A State outdoor finals with a 3.3m vaultIndoor, she went 3.35m twice at the Legends of Alachua County and the Sunshine Showcase. She was 2nd in her first outdoor meet with a vault of 3.2m at the Villages Home Meet One 2026.



Arianna Woolcock of Everglades finished her 2025 outdoor season with a 9th in the 100m (12.19) and a 5th in the 200m (24.11) 4A State finals. The sophomore was 2nd in the 100m finals at Louie Bing with a 12.01, 1st in the 200m with a 24.10.  She went 23.80 in the prelims.



Freshman Sofie Stam of Bolles HS finished the 2025 outdoor season with a 10th-place finish in the 1600m (5:13.94) and an 8th-place finish in the 3200m (11:13.66) in the 2A State finals. She has not run outdoors yet.
