The Race
Well this has become a habit writing about how poorly I've been doing! The one thing I can take out of it is that I"m not giving up and I still have faith in myself to have a chance at state. This week at FSU was amazing yet crappy at the same time. The race went poorly and I still have to learn to mentally not give in so easily. The plan was to stay with my summer training partner Andrew Cacciatore which worked out until a little over two miles when I dropped off. I hate to re-live the moment on how I ran, but I still had fun out there and enjoyed everyone at the end coming up to me from other teams saying good race.
The Crazy Part
The trip to FSU was pretty chill. It was a nice five hour ride from Cocoa Beach to the course then to the hotel , back out for dinner , and to the hotel again. That's when it went down! My roommate Telly and I are in the lobby of the hotel when we decided to go back up to the room and when we get there a kid from Buchholz High School says "I heard the party is in room 217......that was our room. All of a sudden around 15 kids from the other team come to the hall way and we all chill and hangout for a while until our coaches decided it was time to call it a night. Still I was able to meet a girl who I didnt even get her name, but I was able to talk to her at the meet, and she seemed awesome. So if you're reading this or anyone from that school help me out on finding this girl!
Team
The team is always having a problem. This week our number four runner was again out due to sickness, Bishop Kenny killed it at FSU. So congrats to them. We were able to beat Immokalee without our number four runner which was a bit of a shocker since that team has been running really well also. Our next meet will be at Holy trinty and the race is always quick, so hopefully some fast times can happen there. It will also be nice to stay local and get the support from everyone around here who can't make it to our meets that are farther away. State is far away and I can promise we will be ready when that day comes around. Till then I will be training hard and having fun, Later guys!
