BLOG UPDATE: Rain Storm Race Tim Fulton Jul 23, 2008

So I headed over to the Westchester Summer Twilight Track and Field Series to get a glorified workout in.  I started running double sessions this week so I just needed a little bit of a harder effort.  The meet was held at Hen Hud HS and I have run in the series every year since 1985 except one, so it was important to get the race in.

by Tim Fulton

We’re here.  After arriving in Portland Monday evening we drove down to Eugene this morning.  As we pulled off the exit to go and pick up our media credentials, Chris said, “A lot of trees here.”  Indeed there are.  You expect that outside of the city but everywhere within in the city you just see green. READ MORE HERE -   UPDATED 8:48PM WEDNESDAY   - READ THE REST OF TIM FULTON'S BLOG HERE

On the boys side, unranked Grady won its second straight outdoor Brooklyn Borough Championship by defeating New York State 7th ranked Midwood and 10th ranked Sheepshead Bay.

Fayetteville-Manlius Wins
National Title
\"\"

By Christopher Hunt
He said the answer was both simple and complex — the reason Manilus has become a historic team, unquestionably among the best ever. They bought it, coach Bill Aris said.

They made a choice. They made conscious effort to make  excellence a lifestyle.
“Normal has nothing to do with excellence,” Aris said. “Excellence is another approach all together. If you choose to approach your life in a fashion geared to achieve excellence then the question becomes, how high is up?”
Manilus continues to reach new limits. They dominated Nike Team Nationals today, winning their fourth straight national title with 83 points, placing three in the top 10 at 5-kilometer course in Portland, Ore. FULL STORY HERE
