Well that's all folks. That's right the season is over and let's just say its been an interesting one. Lots of ups and downs but it ended with the best upside possible. In the pouring rain and 50 mile per hour winds I was able to come out on top and win my second consecutive state championship in the shot put and discus.
What a great week. Last week, I finally started clicking on my technique and I've been throwing over 190's in practice consistently.
It's been a a pretty chill last couple of weeks, but their have been a few exciting points to talk about though like throwing in a college meet and preparing for the state weightlifting meet, and we just had our district meet, but I'll just go in order.
I can't believe its almost time for districts. It feels like only yesterday that we started track workouts, but its true only a couple more weeks and it will be over. These past few weeks haven't been the best. My disc is still struggling to get back over 180, but my shot on the other hand is getting better every week.
Well it's been a rough past couple weeks. My throwing hasn't been improving like I want to, but I just have to keep working hard and work through it. Last weekend I went to the FSU relays and threw a little bit, but unfortunately the meet was rained out and was cancelled. It was still a good weekend and I got to hang with coaches and other athletes and future teammates. So it wasn't really that bad and I can't wait to get there this summer.
Wow, what a crazy past two weeks this has been its only March and I've already made one of my season goals. Two weeks ago I finally hit the big 60 and I didn't just hit it once I hit it twice on back to back throws and I've been up around there ever since.
Wow, what a week this has been. I've really been making strides this week with my throws and my workouts. We had another tri-meet this past tuesday and I hit a 184 and a 182. They just felt really good. I've been getting great power into my throws and its only a matter of time before I pop another big throw.
