Wade Hampton General Alumnus Matt Goodwin Impacting Youth Athletes\' Lives John Olson Jun 8, 2004

Matt Goodwin recently ran at Furman University. Prior to running at Furman, Goodwin ran at Brevard. Goodwin attended Wade Hampton High School in Greenville. Goodwin is currently the Greenville Track Club Youth Coach. The former Paladin and General has 10 members of the 19 member team going to the state junior olympics this weekend. Goodwin also talks about the beginning of his running life, his past, present, and future.

SC USATF State Association Meet Saturday John Olson Jun 8, 2004

The 2004 South Carolina Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships is set for this weekend, June 11-13 at Irmo High School\'s track and field facility, located near Columbia. South Carolina\'s USATF association is hosting the regional championships from July 8-11 at Weems Baskin Stadium on the campus of University of South Carolina in Columbia.

6/4-Leach, Thomas, Williams, Morris in Florida to compete Sat - USATF starts Sat, too Don Rich Jun 4, 2004

Nicole Leach and Latavia Thomas of West Catholic; and Chanel Williams and Kim Morris of Plymouth-Whitemarsh, made the trip to compete at this Saturday's Golden South meet in Florida. And the Mid-Atlantic USATF Area meets get underway this weekend around the state. I'll have schedules and coverage beginning Saturday.
