Louie Bing Track & Field Invitational

**Special Notice**
All coaches must read this section and remain in compliance. Failure to read the notice and adhere to the guidelines will result in NON-ADMISSION to the event.

Packet pick-up and wrist band information for athletes and coaches
Team packets will be ready for pick-up at Miami Northwestern Sr. High School during school hours on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 7:30am until 2:30pm. The entry fee must be paid when picking-up the packet.
When registering your team, include an active athlete participant roster including alternate team athletes. The number of students listed on your roster will determine the number of wrist bands placed in your packet. Additional wrist bands will cost $10.00.

Team bus drop-off For packet pick-up
Team buses will enter through the back canal gate entrance.
Busses will travel through the gate, pass the fieldhouse and park in the Javelin grass area. Staff will be available to direct the bus.
The head coach will get off the bus and proceed to the fieldhouse gate to pay the entry fee and pick-up team packets.
After the head coach has the packet, he/she will return to the team bus and securely band all coaches and athletes. Coaches and athletes will UNLOAD THE BUS IN THE JAVELIN AREA.
After all coaches and athletes have on their wrist bands, the team will proceed to the fieldhouse gate for entrance into the stadium. Staff will be available to direct the team.
(NOTE) Coaches and athletes who do not have on wrist bands will not be permitted to enter the stadium. Wrist bands will be given to the head coach based on the list submitted to Direct Athletics. The bands must be worn on both days.

Late arrival of coaches and athletes
Parking for athletes and coaches not riding the bus will be at the Northeast section of the stadium. THERE IS NO PARKING IN THE REAR/BACK OF THE STADIUM.
Coaches must have proper identification to enter the facility. The identification must be shown to staff at the Northeast gate.
Coaches will meet their assistant coaches and/or athletes at the Northeast gate entrance with the wrist band needed for entry. The Northeast gate is located at the top of the stadium.
Athletes must have their uniforms ON THEIR BODIES and NOT IN THEIR BAG.
Both the coach and the athlete must contact the head coach to meet them for entry at the Northeast gate. The coach MUST BRING THE WRIST BAND to the northeast gate. Staff will not allow coaches or athletes to enter WITHOUT A REPRESENTATIVE FROM YOUR SCHOOL, a WRIST BAND and the athlete must be IN UNIFROM. Students out of uniform will not be admitted.

Food/Hydration drop-off
Parents and coaches bringing food to their teams must contact the head coach TO MEET THEM AT THE Northeast gate. The parent WILL NOT be permitted to enter using the northeast gate.

In-field rules
Coaches will not be allowed in the in-field except for those associated with the event. Those individuals will be identified with shirts and badges.

ENTRY FEE:
Entry fee $175 (Per Team Girls, Per Team Boys). Three or less athletes entry fee will be $75.00

Please send the Entry Fees now. No team participation will be permitted without entry fees being paid in advance. If entry fees are mailed make sure it reaches the school by the due date. Please contact Coach Carmen Jackson (786-877-9098) or Coach Travarous Bain (786-488-6692) to get the Entry Fees in as soon as possible.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION:
Spectators will be allowed in the west stands.
Gate Admission Will Be $10.00 each day.

Each contestant will receive 4 attempts in LJ, TJ, SP, and DT. If the athlete does not meet the cut-off mark/standard, the attempt will not be measured.
Javelin will be contested as an automatic final on Saturday.

The Top 16 Athletes from the entries will be selected for the Invitational 1600/3200 Meters. The remainder of the 1600/3200 meters will be divided into divisions if necessary, depending on the number of entries. (Division 1 Friday G/B ). Top 8 from Boys/Girls 4x400m Relay prelims will advance to Saturday Finals. The 800 Meters will advance 16 qualifiers to Saturday Finals.

Things You Need To Know
1. Athletes sit in the east stands.
2. FHSAA Rules prevail.
3. A trainers tent is set up for athletes on the outside of the field house. All athletes entrance will be approved by the Head Trainer Mrs. Kathy Tosone.
4. Athletes who are not participating should stay clear of the infield at all times.
5. No blocks will be used in the preliminaries of the 200m dash, 400m dash, 400m hurdles, 4x200m relay, 4x400m relay, and 4x200m relay.
6. Four coaching bands will be issued per gender team.
7. All athletes must wear their Wristband to enter the meet each day. Make sure the athlete keeps the wristband on for both days. Lost or additional wristbands will cost $10.00 each.
