The most exciting non Brooks PR qualifying race could be the boys 110m hurdles. We profile American Heritage senior McKinly Brown who owns the most state titles in the field, but might just be the most overshadowed. Brown will also compete in his favorite event the 400m hurdles and has more experience than his competition with the 4th fastest time in the country to his credit.

Tamari Davis is only a 7th grader, but Saturday she will line up next to girls four and five years older at Flo Golden South. Davis isn't threatened though, feeling as if she belongs right next to them, and says she's been working hard to run at this meet where she failed to qualify for the finals last year running 12s. We caught up with her Coach Gary Evans to talk about this special athlete and her preparation for the weekend.
