Warrior of the Week: Brown, Wollrath Todd Grasley Nov 28, 2012

Fort Myers senior Ace Brown and Holy Trinity sophomore Julie Wollrath are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Brown capped off his cross country career as the top Florida finisher at Foot Locker South crossing the line in 19th place and a new personal best time of 15:21.00. A week removed from winning her second straight cross country state championship Wollrath finished 20th at Foot Locker South in a time of 17:59.00.

 

Warrior of the Week: Blake, Brown Todd Grasley Nov 21, 2012

Holy Trinity senior Alex Brown and Dr. Phillips senior Bridget Blake are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Brown won the 1A state championship in a new personal best time of 15:37.69 and led Holy Trinity to the team championship. Blake won her third consecutive 4A state championship in 17:53.04.

Warrior Of The Week: Shah, Howell Todd Grasley Nov 15, 2012

Wiregrass Ranch senior Nikita Shah and Niceville junior Thomas Howell are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Shah won her third meet in a row claiming the conference, district, and regional championships. She has been consistently running in the mid 18's this year and will be a contender for the 3A titlet his weekend. Howell has been running very well in northwest Florida claiming a regional title as well in a new personal best time of 15:25.37.

Warrior of the Week: Rogers, Stathis Todd Grasley Nov 09, 2012

Cocoa Beach senior Costa Stathis and Plantation American Heritage eighth grader Daesha Rogers are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Stathis won the Cape Coast Conference Championship on Monday and followed it up with a district runner-up finish just three days later. After running only four meets in the regular season, Rogers turned it into high gear beating Pine Crest freshman standout Julia Montgomery in consecutive weeks at districts and regionals.

Warrior Of The Week: Keenan, Johnson Todd Grasley Nov 01, 2012

Seffner Christian senior Josh Keenan and Dr. Phillips senior Amber Johnson are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Keenan scored his second win of the season taking home the Bay Conference title in a new personal best time of 16:02. Johnson also set a personal best of 18:32.90 en route to a Metro West Conference championship and her second win in as many weeks.

Warrior Of The Week: Nichols, Givens Todd Grasley Oct 25, 2012

Land O'Lakes junior Travis Nichols and Chiles senior Rachel Givens are this week's Warrior of the Week Winners. Nichols won the Sunshine Athletic Conference Championships for his second consecutive win of the season in a new personal best time of 15:58. Givens dipped under 18 minutes for a new personal best as well, crossing the line in 17:58 to win the Panhandle Championships in Marianna.

Warrior Of The Week: Salas, Seymour Todd Grasley Oct 18, 2012

Trinity Prep senior Daniel Salas and Hagerty senior Bryce Seymour are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Salas dropped another solid time going 15:28.63 at the Holy Trinity Fall Classic and picking up his fourth win of the year. Seymour lead the Huskies to a team championship at their home meet this past weekend. The senior went 18:04.50 besting runner-up and defending 4A state champion Bridget Blake by thirty-seven seconds.

Warrior Of The Week: Arroyo, Smith Todd Grasley Oct 10, 2012

Colonial senior Andres Arroyo and Estero senior Kacy Smith are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Arroyo won the Boys Varsity Gold Race at the FSU Invitational/Pre-State meet beating one of the toughest fields of the year in a new course record time of 15:19.8. Smith was equally impressiv showing guts in the final stage of the Girls Varsity Gold Race at Pre-State to get the victory in 18:06.

Warrior of the Week: Miranda, Edwards Todd Grasley Oct 03, 2012

Palmetto Ridge senior Carlos Miranda and Fort Myers junior Emily Edwards are this week's Warrior of the Week Winners. Miranda cemented his spot as one of the top runners in the state by winnining the flrunners.com Invitational Race of Champions in a new personal best and state leading time of 15:07.90. Edwards won the girls Race of Champions in a new state leading time and personal best time as well crossing the line in 17:43.80.

Warrior of the Week: Bennett, Montgomery Todd Grasley Sep 26, 2012

Fort Myers junior Tyler Bennett and Pine Crest freshman Julia Montgomery are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Bennett is off to an incredible start this season finishing in the top three in all four races he's been in. He recently won the North Port Invitational with a new course record/meet record and state leading time of 15:27.80. Montgomery won her first high school race at the Martin County Invitational and has won two more since, including two last week, highlighted by her 19:13.40 to win the Fleet Feet Invitational.

Warrior of the Week: Morken, Cruz Todd Grasley Sep 19, 2012

Niceville junior Nick Morken and St. Thomas Aquinas freshman Alexa Cruz are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Morken debuted at the Washington Wildcat Invitational dipping under sixteen minutes and beating some of the top runners in the Panhandle. Cruz competed in her second meet ever as a high schooler and destroyed the 274 runner field at the UF Mt. Dew Invitational crossing the line in a personal best 18:51.21

Warrior Of The Week: Convey, Eaton Todd Grasley Sep 12, 2012

Coral Reef sophomore Kurt Convey and Shorecrest Prep junior Alex Eaton are this week's Warrior of the Week winners. Convey won the University of Miami Greentree Invitational in 16:01.62 against some of South Florida's top runners. Eaton set a new course record at the Seffner Christian Kickoff Class crossing the line in 19:23.70.
