From sizzling sprint times in South Florida to the a blistering fast boys 1600m run in Tallahassee, the state of Florida once again proved it can compete with the nation's best. We were all over the state this week to cover the regional action. Check out thousands of photos, dozens of videos, recaps, results and all the elite performances from the week! VIDEO: Khosla, 4:06.45, Morken 4:07.12 US#1 & 3 Times At 3A Region 1

Leon junior Sukhi Khosla and Niceville senior Nick Morken proved they are worthy of being mentioned with the nation's top 1600 meter runners. Duking it out at the 3A Region 1 Championships both runners saw new personal bests as they crossed the line in 4:06.45 and 4:07.12, the first and third fastest times in the country for 2014. According to the flrunners.com database Khosla's time is the sixth fastest all-time, while Morken's ranks ninth. Flagler Palm Coast's Sammy Vasquez has the fastest time ever recorded by a Floridian with a 4:02.46 converted that he ran in 2005 at the Adidas Outdoor Championships.

3A Region 2: Liberty Boys, Lake Nona Girls Claim First Ever Regional Crowns

Lake Minneola has hosted several postseason meets this season. The final edition for the track season was Wednesday when it played host to the 3A Region 2 championships. Sitting atop a scenic hilltop, the track action was just as awesome as athletes throughout central Florida attempted to punch their ticket to the state championships next weekend in Jacksonville.

Speed was on display in the 100 meter dash at the 3A Region 2 Championships at Lake Minneola High School. Donald Lamb was on-site and has over 1,000 photos from the track to the field!

3A Region 3: Rhynes Sweeps Sprints In Windy 10.37 & 21.57, Harding & Slater Battle To Line In 1600

Lakewood Ranch girls cruised to a 3A Region 3 title at Leto High School in Tampa Wednesday, out-pacing Golden Gate 77 to 44. Estero was third with 40. On the boys side, Sarasota edged Ida S. Baker 40 to 39 with Armwood, Hillsborough and Jefferson tied with 37. Middleton's Shug Rhynes swept the sprints with impressive marks of 10.37w and 21.67w respectively s hewhile Samson Moore proves he is back in the hurdles. In the girl's 1600m run four girls battled it out with Emily Harding of Sarasota edging out Estero's Katie Slater 5:03.60 to 5:03.80.

FHSAA 3A Region 4

3A Region 4: Miami Northwestern Lays Down The Law On Home Track

Is there a more dominant ladies team in the state than Miami Northwestern? The Bulls racked up an astounding 252.5 points to win by almost over 200 over runner-up Carol City at the 3A Region 4 Championships while their male counterparts beat out Boyd Anderson to win as well.

John Calderon was on-site in South Florida at the 3A Region 4 Championships. Check out over 1,200 photos from the event which produced 108 elite performances and showcased dominating performances by the Miami Northwestern girls and boys.

Class 1A/2A receive a bye week this week while the state's largest classifications duke it out for regional supremacy and a ticket to the state finals on May 3rd.  We crunched the numbers to try and see how each regional meet would play out. Check out our virtual meets that we ran two ways. The first scores the meet using the four district results that make up the regional, and the top four qualifiers in each event and their respective marks. The second virtual meet takes all teams in the regional and scores the meet based on season bests.  See how you stack up against the competition and get prepared for some great performances and complete coverage including photos, race videos, interviews, and a complete recap of all the regional action!

Watch Erica Sergeant Clear 12'11" At 4A Region 1

Lake Mary senior and Kennesaw State signee Erica Sergeant picked up her fourth straight regional championship with a 12"11 clearance in the girls pole vault. Sergeant is going for her third consecutive 4A state championship this weekend. Check out the winning vault which was one inch short of her personal best mark of 13"0.

Ralph Epifanio came out of retirement to attend the 4A Region 1 "Region Of Doom" at Flagler Palm Coast. The girl's quarter-mile was moving with 54 second performances from Destiny Washington of West Orange and Oak Ridge standout Sharrika Barnett. The distance races came down to the wire. 4A Region 2: Wildcats, Bobcats Claw Way to Regional Titles

tIn 4A Region 2 action, the Wharton girls dominated, winning with 86.5 points to Steinbrenner's 58 with George Jenkins in third with 56. On the boys side, North Port hung on to a tenuous lead to win the meet with 60.33 to Countryside's 59. The Countryside boys won the 4x400m to end the night but North Port's runner-up finish in the event preserved the team win.
