Aleesa Samuel of Somerset Academy Pembroke Pines took it to the top hurdlers of South Florida in winning the Loue Bing Invite 100 meter hurdles as a freshman with a 14.09 victory two Saturdays ago. Samuel also owns the fastest time in the state among freshmen for the 100 meter dash at 12.09.
