Every summer here at The Armory one of the most exciting events to take place is The Harlem Children's Zone track meet. With thousands of kids and hundreds of volunteers, each HCZ center races in different color t-shirts, and the place goes crazy.

North Rockland senior Jackie Gamboli looked poised and confident in the 1500m. She was leading the field with Shelby Greany, the four-time Foot Locker qualifier on her shoulder, and she stayed right there past the finish - at the front.

Sam Roecker of Burnt Hills-Balston Lake took charge from the gun in the girls 3000m, and while her teammate Molly Pezullo hung on her shoulder, Roecker just continued to run out front.
Roecker is just tough - it's as simple as that. Anyone who has ever seen her race would agree. She may look dead at the mile mark but she'll always find a way to be in the race all the way to the end.
Running at Geneseo, the SUNY Cortland men, the #1 ranked NCAA Division III team in the country, defended their title with 22 points over Geneseo. The women of Geneseo turned the tables on Cortland as they dominated the race with 26 points.
