We continue with Class of 2021 comps for NCAA athletes
Hey Florida runners! I just wanted to congratulate every team and individual who competed at the state meet. It is truly one of kind experience to compete at the state meet and I always cherish it.
Hey Florida runners, it’s been awhile since I have last blogged. Training has been going very well especially with the recent change in temperature. I prefer colder weather, so I’m really enjoying running right now. We had two weeks off to focus on training that led up to our district race on the 1st.
Hey Florida Runners! I just had one of the last races of my high school cross country career and it feel surreal. All I have left is districts, regionals, and of course state. When I was younger I always dreamed about being a senior and how awesome it would feel to be the oldest, but I dont feel that way anymore.
Hey Florida runners! This past weekend I raced at the Alligator Lake invite in Lake City. I raced there last year too and it is one of my favorite courses I have ever run, but this year was quite different than last year. All the rain had caused the course to be extremely muddy and slippery. It was alot of fun though because I have never raced in conditions like that before. I won the race last year and came in second this year, but was the first finisher from Florida. Some teams came down from Georgia and there was some steep competetion there.
Hey Florida runners, first I would like to start off by saying that today is September 11th, and even though it is 11 years later I think that all of the victims should be remebered. I give thanks to all the men and women who gave their lives that day in order to protect and save others. They are my heroes, and my inspiration. Thank you, and you will always have a place in my heart.
Summer has ended unfortunately, but that just means one step closer to the racing season! I'm still getting adjusted to running in the heat of the afternoon, but thankfully the recent storms has allowed the first two weeks of training to be in relatively nice weather.
Hi, I'm Garrett Westlake from P.K. Yonge high school in Gainesville, Florida. I'll be starting my senior season with a new coach. I have had four different coaches in my career so far, so it isn't anything new, but in my eyes change is always good, and I'm really looking forward to this season.
