FHSAA 1A Outdoor State Finals 2011

Lindsey Enders broke the 5-year old state meet record of Caroline Kennedy with her 12-10 vault. Trinity Prep wrapped up their boys team title after an impressive 1-2-3 finish in the 3200. Justin Osking tossed a US #5 193-10 discus. Gebben makes it four-in-a-row for the 300 Hurdles.

The emotion was written all over Kayla Gardner’s face after she won the 100 meter hurdles for Westminster High on Friday in the FHSAA 1A state track and field finals with a blistering time of 14.55 seconds. In the last two years in the same race Gardner took second place; this time she could not hold back her tears of joy after taking an uplifting victory. (via The Miami Herald)

Abby Hani of Lake Mary Prep takes home the gold in the 400 with a time of 56.74.

The First Academy senior capped off a stellar career by winning her fourth consecutive 300 hurdles title.

Senior Evan Rosenberg finishes his career in a Saints uniform with an individual win in the 800 (1:57.28) and a team championship.

The Westminster Academy junior won the 100 hurdles in a time of 14.55 to claim the state championship.

The Holy Trinity eighth grader won the 1600 meters with a strong kick to pass Kathryn Fluehr in a personal best 4:58.24.

Community School of Naples senior Kathryn Fluehr won the 1A state championship in the 3200 with a time of 10:36.23.

Clears 12-10 to better Caroline Kennedy's 2006 meet record of 12-9.

Wins gold at 200, silver in 100 and long jump.

The junior from Graceville won the 100, 200, and anchored her team's 4x100 state championship tonight.

Kurgatt lays low for a lap behind Emily Edwards, and then powers to a 2:15 victory.

Bryce took a nasty spill over one of the last hurdles in the 110 and was down, looked like maybe out. He came back to win the 300H.

New personal best by four inches, 14-6.

Cleared 6-8 to win, just a month back from injury.
