Scouting Report: John A. Ferguson HS Girls Ryan Raposo Aug 9, 2013

The John A. Ferguson girls are looking good as we head into the 2013 cross country season. After a stellar state runner-up performance in 2011, we fell off a little in 2012 as the girls team struggled in trying to find leadership and mature as a group, but after much success this past track & field season, I can say the girls are very motivated for cross country this year. I attribute much of the bright outlook to the fact that many of my top ten are heading into their senior year and their summer attendance has been very on point compared to last year. They've even got me more motivated for this season!

In Her Own Words: Lauren Gonzalez Lauren Gonzalez Sep 26, 2011

My name is Lauren Gonzalez and I am a senior at John A. Ferguson Senior High School. Having run for four years I can definitely say that this year so far has brought great achievements to our girls' varsity team and myself as an individual. Since my time on Fergusons cross country program we have placed 11th, 15th, and 9th at the state meet. Last year was the first time in Fergusons history that the girl cross country team even breaks the top ten. To see how much my team has grown as a whole from just one year is remarkable

Cross Country Q&A - Lauren Gonzalez Todd Grasley Sep 20, 2011

Ferguson's Lauren Gonzalez has seen her time drop thirteen minutes over the past three years from 32 minutes down to 19. She how she got started in the sport, what she credits her improvement too, and what she likes to do outside the sport in this Cross Country Q&A.

A Q&A Session with Jesus Batista and Danny Aguas Ryan Raposo Nov 7, 2010

The 10-Day Recap of Miami XC Ryan Raposo Nov 7, 2010

Jason has been looking for more South Florida XC coverage this season and due to the lack of interest I decided I would try to put a few articles together for everyone. And seeing as how I was without a computer last week I figured I would put together a 10-Day Recap of what’s been going on with cross country here in Miami-Dade County. (I really wanted to put together a nice write up of the GMAC Championship last week, so I’ll start off with that and lead into the various district championships from this past week).   Now without further delay, here’s what’s been happening down south…

Robin Reynolds Opens HS Career; Blazing Times at Louie Bing Jason Byrne Mar 1, 2009

The Louie Bing Classic is always a star studded affair for the short stuff and the jumps and that's basically because Miami teams typically dominate these events and all the big guns come out for it. This year was no exception and our leaderboard of a week's worth of state rankings was completely rewritten by this meet for just about every event 800 meters and shorter, boys and girls. Last year's much lauded middle school sensation Robin Reynolds officially became a freshman phenom, opening her high school career with Miami Jackson. She earned three golds and a bronze in the two-day meet.
