Mary Summers of Seven Rivers Christian School was the 1A Girls FHSAA Outdoor State champion with a 17:58.40. She leads the freshman girl returners in the 5000m rankings.
In looking at the top returning 8th graders from last year who make up the Freshman class for the 2025 Cross Country season, two categories must be considered: the top returners who ran a 5000m race last year as 8th graders and those who competed in both the middle school 3000m distance, the varsity 5000m distance and solely at the Middle School 3000m distance.
