Marcelo Mantecon of Belen Jesuit is the #1-ranked 3A boys runner in the state and one of the top runners in the nation.  He leads a young team with only one senior on the squad and is focused not only on his own running but also on being the team leader. Belen's number two runner, Armando Cruz, is the #2-ranked 3A runner and the #2-ranked runner in all divisions.

We are through Week One of the 2025 Florida Cross Country season. Rather than just looking at the All Division rankings and Class Rankings in this early season, with the majority of the top times coming from the Cecil Field Summer Classic, I thought it would be interesting to see the boys and girls rankings through week one of this season and include their times from the same period in 2024.
