Freshman Aidan Alam of the McKeel Academy significantly improved from his 126th-place finish in 2024 to a fifth-place finish in the boys 2A race in 2025. He dropped his time 1:56.50 from 18:24.30 in 2024 to 16:17.80 in 2025.

Note: To make the list, the athlete had to be in the top 500 in 2024 and ran again in 2025.
