The FSU Invitational/Pre-State produced some of the fastest times this season. We wanted to break it down even more and see who were the fastest in each class. Fletcher's Kayley DeLay was the overall runner-up in a sub 18 time of 17:56.80 while Creekside's Matthew Clark was 11th overall in 15:49.60. Those were the best marks from the class of 2018.! The 2015 FSU Invitational/Pre-State is one of the largest ever with over 200 teams and 2,000 plus athletes. Due to inclement weather upcoming in North Carolina canceling Great American, the meet benefited from defending 4A state champion Winter Park, 3A runner-up Fort Myers, as well as a slew of Georgia's best teams making the trip to Tallahassee. We preview all the competition in the elite races which will take place first thing on Saturday morning.
Sukhi Khosla became the first high school runner to break 15 minutes on the Apalachee Regional Park course doing so with a time of 14:59.45 at the 2013 FSU Invitational/Pre-State and went sub 15 again in 2014 with a time of 14:59.95.. We take a look at the top 500 boys times and will see who gets added to this list following Saturday!
Rachel Givens ran a blistering course record of 17:48.78 to win the 3A Cross Country Finals in 2012. Winter Park sophomore Rafaella Gibbons and Fletcher junior Kayley Delay have the third and seventh fastest times ever at Apalachee Regional Park and are the only two in Saturday's meet with times under 18 minutes on the state meet course.
