JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- Piper (FL) High School freshman Aaliyah Butler broke a 17-year-old record last held by Sanya Richards-Ross on Saturday at the FHSAA Class 4A Championships, winning a title at 400 meters in 52.25 seconds. Butler's time surpassed Richards-Ross' effort of 52.51 from 2002. NEW STATE RECORD Aaliyah Butler went 52.25 to win the 4A 400m state championship title! The First Time the FHSAA State Finals Ended On the 3200m May 7, 2019

It took mental toughness for these 3200m athletes to rebound after delay. There was nothing that could have prepared them for the two days of chaos, but with grace these athletes crushed it, closing the FHSAA State Finals with the 3200m for the first time ever in Florida history. 

High School Girls' 4x100m Relay 2A, Prelims 1 May 3, 2019

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- In an incredible comeback that saw the Dunbar girls make up nearly 40 meters on the last hand-off, the Tigers downed American Heritage in a prelim on Friday to set the third fastest time among Class 2A teams in 48.31 seconds.
