Adrian Cardero of Christopher Columbus leads all freshmen boys in the state of Florida with his swift clockings of 48.25 in the 400 and 22.40 in the 200, which were both good enough to make the finals at the Louie Bing Invitational two weekends ago. The 400 time is the fastest in the country for a ninth-grader by a significant gap of 2 seconds.
