Hey you guys it's KaIi. I missed you so much. How have you been? Well my season has had some ups and down. School is over for me. I graduate June 1st which is this Saturday. I'm so happy you just don't understand. Congrats to all the graduates out there on a job well done. We've come a long way.

Hey everyone Kendall Ellis here again. As you know from my previous blog, I went up to New York last weekend with a few of my teammates for the Adidas Grand Prix. The 4x4 ended up finishing third and I’m proud of the girls for doing their thing representing for the U.S, even though it wasn’t the originally planned relay.

The Adidas Grand Prix. The Dream 100. The Dream Mile. All three names are prestigious in themselves and will take place this Saturday in New York. It’s one of those meets that I wish I specialized in the 100 or mile, but you know, I wasn’t really meant for that. As for me, I’m not competing in either of the two well known events but rather the 4x4, which ought to be exciting as well.

Alright everyone, Kendall Ellis here for my last blog of the season. As you may or may not know, St. Thomas Aquinas girls won the 4A state championship. I am immensely proud of these girls for accomplishing this feat that hasn’t been done since 2005.

In His Own Words: Austin Droogsma Austin Droogsma May 06, 2013

Well that's all folks. That's right the season is over and let's just say its been an interesting one. Lots of ups and downs but it ended with the best upside possible. In the pouring rain and 50 mile per hour winds I was able to come out on top and win my second consecutive state championship in the shot put and discus.

Hey you guys its Kali blogging again! So I cant believe this is about to be my last time running for Boyd Anderson high-school it brings many many tears to my eyes, it was just yesterday I was a freshman roaming Nova High halls.

Hello everyone, so last Friday was my last state meet, and boy was it quite the experience. This blog is pretty much going to be a big thanks to everyone so bear with me.  First off, thank you to UNF for hosting the state meet, I always enjoy running there. Words cannot even begin to describe the emotions during our State meet. From the first race to the last there was just so much adrenaline and excitement from the Lady Marauders. Every single one of us did something beyond what we thought to help out the team. In the end we were able to pull out a team title and we are so grateful for our coaches and all the support we’ve gotten.

Hey everyone, Kendall Ellis here again. First off, congratulations to those who competed in the 1A and 2A State meets already. I’m especially proud of my friends Deja Parrish and Diamond Spaulding for their first state championships in the 400 and 200, respectively. Anyways, last week STA had regionals aka state qualifiers. The meet had some ups and downs, but ultimately both the girls and boys came out on top.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Stefanie Kurgatt Apr 24, 2013

Hello Everyone. State is this week, I can’t believe it. I will not get all sappy with my blog just yet, because we still have one more meet left. Sorry parents, after state the emotions will come spilling out. Until then only excitement and adrenaline is in me. Last week Maclay competed in the Regional meet at Bishop Snyder and that went really well. Along with grabbing two team titles, ten girls and nine boys qualified for state.

It's been a a pretty chill last couple of weeks, but their have been a few exciting points to talk about though like throwing in a college meet and preparing for the state weightlifting meet, and we just had our district meet, but I'll just go in order.

In Her Own Words: Kendall Ellis Kendall Ellis Apr 21, 2013

Hey ya’ll Kendall Ellis here. On Wednesday, St. Thomas had districts. As a 4A school, it seems like we’re so far behind in everything when some schools are already onto regionals, but anyways, the team did great. I’m really so proud of the team this year, boys and girls, as they’ve both progressed greatly throughout the season. Both sides of the team swept the competition to win the meet overall, as well as dominating in individual events.

Hello Flrunners. I’d like to start this blog a little different this time. As we all know, this past Monday the Boston Marathon took place. A very tragic event occurred on what seemed to be a good day. It is hard to believe that something like this could happen and cannot imagine how horrible it must have felt to be there. My heart and prayers go out to all the families and competitors and everyone at Boston.

In Her Own Words: Kali Davis-White Kali Davis-White Apr 16, 2013

Hey you guys it Kali. I'm back. Oh my gosh did you guys hear about the Boston Marathon bombing that really hurt my heart? Why would anybody even think to bomb infants, kids, teens, and adults who are running just to run. What in the world? My prayers goes out to the families who lost a loved one in this tragedy.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Stefanie Kurgatt Apr 11, 2013

Hello everyone. It is officially post season and many of us are preparing to do our last three meets ever for our respective high schools. What an overwhelming thought that can be. I know it has finally kicked in now that these are my last meets for Maclay.

In His Own Words: Austin Droogsma Austin Droogsma Apr 10, 2013

I can't believe its almost time for districts. It feels like only yesterday that we started track workouts, but its true only a couple more weeks and it will be over. These past few weeks haven't been the best. My disc is still struggling to get back over 180, but my shot on the other hand is getting better every week.

In Her Own Words: Kendall Ellis Kendall Ellis Apr 08, 2013

Hi everyone! This weekend was absolutely amazing. The team participated in the Florida Relays and we showed out to the max. On the girls side, we won every single relay we participated in, including the 4x1, 4x2, distance medley, 4x8, and 4x4. We completely swept the meet and the 4x4 relay broke our national record that we just set last week in Texas.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Todd Grasley Apr 04, 2013

Hello, hope everyone is having a good week thus far. It is officially post season for most 1A schools as we just finished our last meet before the championship season. Districts are just around the corner, but until then we will be training hard as ever.

In His Own Words: Austin Droogsma Austin Droogsma Mar 31, 2013

Well it's been a rough past couple weeks. My throwing hasn't been improving like I want to, but I just have to keep working hard and work through it. Last weekend I went to the FSU relays and threw a little bit, but unfortunately the meet was rained out and was cancelled. It was still a good weekend and I got to hang with coaches and other athletes and future teammates. So it wasn't really that bad and I can't wait to get there this summer.

In Her Own Words: Kendall Ellis Kendall Ellis Mar 27, 2013

Hey everyone! Hope all is well with you guys and your training and meets have been going well. Last week was the BCAA County Championships at Dillard High School. Judging by last week, winter is definitely over in South Florida. The sun was out and alive proving that this really is the Sunshine State.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Stefanie Kurgatt Mar 27, 2013

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I had to come back to reality as Spring Break has ended for me and I am back to school. Things are really starting to sink in as we only have a little over eight weeks of school left. I am nearing my last few high school track meets and every day goes by so quickly. Last week was FSU Relays and it was bitter sweet after racing that meet for five years in a row.

Hey you guys I missed you so much. It's Kali back at the blogging thing again. Let’s talk about New York. It was freezing cold and on top of that it was snowing. I know you guys want to know about the false start. Well first off I was so ready for the 60m semis physically and mentally. I did my pre-race starts and everything, about like five minutes later I’m in the blocks.

Hi everyone.I would like to congratulate everyone on a tremendous track season so far! Everyone should be so proud of themselves to see their hard work, dedication, and commitment paying off. It’s truly inspiring to see how Florida is filled with a powerhouse of track and field stars. Since it is still pretty early in the season, only the best is yet to come!

In His Own Words: Austin Droogsma Austin Droogsma Mar 19, 2013

Wow, what a crazy past two weeks this has been its only March and I've already made one of my season goals. Two weeks ago I finally hit the big 60 and I didn't just hit it once I hit it twice on back to back throws and I've been up around there ever since.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Stefanie Kurgatt Mar 19, 2013

Hey there Flrunners! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. It definitely is a good one for many of us here in Tallahassee. This week is out spring break and many of us are living it up at the beach and what not. It is so crazy how after spring break it is almost April and then school is practically over. For all the seniors, enjoy your last few months and live it to the fullest. You are about to open up a new chapter in your life. Enjoy and cherish every moment that you can because we are all growing up very quickly.

Hey everyone I’m back again. As you know, last week the team went up to Jacksonville for the Bob Hayes meet. And I must say the team did amazing!!! So many of our athletes PRed and just had an overall great performance. The girls and I had so much fun before the meet, running around stores, taking pictures, and just bonding - my favorite. This week we have counties and there’s still work to be done, so we rejoiced in our victory but it’s back to the grind.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Stefanie Kurgatt Mar 13, 2013

Habari! Hope Everyone is having an awesome week thus far. The days are certainly going by super fast, and I can’t believe that we are two weeks into March. As for that time change,  I can’t quite tell if I like that or not. After just stressing how important sleep is, losing an hour isn’t always great, but gaining some extra daylight at the end of the day isn’t so bad. So, I guess there is only one solution to this problem, everyone go to sleep an hour earlier.

In Her Own Words: Kendall Ellis Kendall Ellis Mar 12, 2013

Hey guys! You know you’re excited to go out of town when you actually start packing before the morning of the trip. Well at least that’s how it is for me. This weekend part of the St. Thomas Aquinas team is headed to Jacksonville for the Bob Hayes meet. It’s always a fun time when my teammates and I get to go out of town. This is prime time bonding and the excitement is real.

In Her Own Words: Kali Davis-Whtie Kali Davis-White Mar 08, 2013

Hey everyone Kali here back at this blogging thing again!Good luck to FSU at Nationals this weekend. Go Noles. Also good luck to Boyd H. Anderson track team this weekend at the Miramar Invitational. Go Cobras. You guys I am so sorry for not blogging last week I was trying to recoverr fromSeattle, I hope you understand.

In Her Own Words: Kendall Ellis Kendall Ellis Mar 07, 2013

Hey guys it’s Kendall again. Here’s a first. This weekend the meet is optional, but of course yours truly is required to attend. It’s all good though I’m definitely not bitter about it it’s just another opportunity to run a fast time and improve. As for last week big shout out to my girls team at St. Thomas Aquinas on the win at Sam Burley. So proud of my girls.

In Her Own Words: Stefanie Kurgatt Todd Grasley Mar 06, 2013

Hello everybody! Well, outdoor track in Florida is well underway and most of us will be approaching our second or third meet this weekend. It’s crazy to think that this is my last high school season, but I am going to enjoy every bit of it and definitely blessed to get this far. After Seattle it was time to get back to reality and back to the usual schedule. I realized how much I love sleep and this might sound sad, but every runner should know how I feel. When I have any sort of free time the first thing I want to do is sleep. Sleep is glorious and definitely a key component when it comes to being able to compete at your fullest potential and I love it. Anyway, if I could give any advice to anyone for this season is sleep more.
