Guess who's back? It's me Kendall Ellis returning for some post season blogging. Since the state meet a couple big things have happened - senior breakfast, my last track banquet, and biggest of all graduation.
Hey everyone, Kendall Ellis with what’s probably my final blog, at least for the season. I’m so very proud of my Raiders for sweeping the class 4A State Championship on both the girls and boys side! It feels good to win again on the girls side but even better to have a win on the boys side as well.
Hey ya’ll! Kendall Ellis here with my blog of the week. Last Thursday were regionals and they went very well. I couldn't be more excited. Everything is truly in God’s timing and it was time to PR, a new personal best of 53.09 in the 400 meters. I’m very proud of my STA girls who reign as 2014 Regional Champions and to all those who qualified to state.
Hey ya’ll Kendall Ellis back with my blog. Let me start with last week. Districts were crazy. There’s just no other way to say it. From the weather to the organization, the whole meet was just a lot. Our meet ended up lasting two days and before the race even started the 4x4 was soaked thoroughly. Nonetheless business was handled and the team performed just as we are trained to do. Next stop regionals.
Hey everyone Kendall Ellis here with my blog. It’s not often that I get an off week and when I do I usually don’t know what to do with myself. But this weekend was different since the STA seniors had prom. I have to say, I think I had one of the best track tans ever seen at a dance. Track problems. The seniors made the best of the night and had fun but now it’s back to the grind. This week really begins the road to state. Spring break starts Wednesday and districts are just the way to pop it off. Of course the Raiders are prepped and ready to perform.
Hey everyone! Kendall here with my weekly blog. Last weekend was the FloridaRelays at the University of Florida. Yet again STA showed out, especially on the girl’s side. My 4x2 relay outdid our previous performance at the Texas Relays by breaking our own national record. Rewriting the record books just one week later. The DMR, 4x2, and 4x4 all broke the meet record and I couldn’t be prouder of my girls.
Hey y'all! Kendii back for my weekly blog. Don't y'all just love track season? It's starting to reach that point when I'm really falling in love with the sport. Last weekend a few members of the STA track team got the opportunity to compete at the Texas relays. Records were meant to be broken right? That's exactly what the Lady Raiders did in Texas.
Hey ya’ll! Kendall Ellis back for my blog. So I’m super excited for the upcoming weeks. STA has prom, Spring Break, Texas Relays and Florida Relays all coming up but let me not get ahead of myself.
Some people call me Kandii, some people call me Kendi. I didn’t give myself either of these nicknames, but hey take your pick. Either way Kandii/Kendi always coming back for my weekly blog. This is me switching it up.
Hey ya’ll! You know how it goes..Kendall Ellis here with my weekly blog. I promise I’ll start switching it up. Last week STA’s dual meet at Hallandale got rained out, just like the seniors got rained on at Grad Day. Unfortunate. But no worries, we still managed to get that work in at our own track and the seniors made the best of Grad Day. Last weekend we had an optional meet at the Miramar Invitational.
Hey everybody! Kendall back again for my weekly blog. Last weekend Saint Thomas Aquinas competed at the Sam Burley Invitational. Congratulations to the boys for winning overall and for my girls coming in second.
Hey everyone! Kendall Ellis here back for this week’s blog. This past weekend Saint Thomas Aquinas competed at the Louie Bing Invitational. I’d like to extend a congratulations to Miami Northwestern for winning on the girls side and another congratulations to my girls team for placing second. Another huge congratulations to the STA boys team for winning on the men’s side. There were some amazing individual performances as well as relay performances last weekend so be sure to check out the results. This Wednesday Saint Thomas hosts a dual meet at home against Coral Glades and Pompano. This weekend we’ll be at the Sam Burley Hall of Fame Invitational expecting some more fast times.
Hey y’all! Many of us have our first meet this week, whether it be a dual meet or a larger meet. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas our first dual meet is Wednesday against Blanche Ely, South Broward, and West Broward. This weekend we’ll be competing at Louie Bing where schools from all over will come head to head to show what they’re bringing to the season.
Hey everyone! Turn us trackletes all the way up because it’s finally track season! Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Kendall Ellis and I am happy to blog for flrunners again. Just a little about me; I’m a senior (S/O to class of 2014) at Saint Thomas Aquinas (go Raiders) who has officially signed and committed to the University of Southern California (fight on Trojans).
Alright everyone, Kendall Ellis here for my last blog of the season. As you may or may not know, St. Thomas Aquinas girls won the 4A state championship. I am immensely proud of these girls for accomplishing this feat that hasn’t been done since 2005.
Hey everyone, Kendall Ellis here again. First off, congratulations to those who competed in the 1A and 2A State meets already. I’m especially proud of my friends Deja Parrish and Diamond Spaulding for their first state championships in the 400 and 200, respectively. Anyways, last week STA had regionals aka state qualifiers. The meet had some ups and downs, but ultimately both the girls and boys came out on top.
Hey ya’ll Kendall Ellis here. On Wednesday, St. Thomas had districts. As a 4A school, it seems like we’re so far behind in everything when some schools are already onto regionals, but anyways, the team did great. I’m really so proud of the team this year, boys and girls, as they’ve both progressed greatly throughout the season. Both sides of the team swept the competition to win the meet overall, as well as dominating in individual events.
Hi everyone! This weekend was absolutely amazing. The team participated in the Florida Relays and we showed out to the max. On the girls side, we won every single relay we participated in, including the 4x1, 4x2, distance medley, 4x8, and 4x4. We completely swept the meet and the 4x4 relay broke our national record that we just set last week in Texas.
Hey guys I'm back again. Like I said last week, eleven girls from the St. Thomas High School track team flew over to Texas for the Texas Relays. The trip was so much fun and a great experience
Hey everyone! Hope all is well with you guys and your training and meets have been going well. Last week was the BCAA County Championships at Dillard High School. Judging by last week, winter is definitely over in South Florida. The sun was out and alive proving that this really is the Sunshine State.
Hey everyone I’m back again. As you know, last week the team went up to Jacksonville for the Bob Hayes meet. And I must say the team did amazing!!! So many of our athletes PRed and just had an overall great performance. The girls and I had so much fun before the meet, running around stores, taking pictures, and just bonding - my favorite. This week we have counties and there’s still work to be done, so we rejoiced in our victory but it’s back to the grind.
Hey guys! You know you’re excited to go out of town when you actually start packing before the morning of the trip. Well at least that’s how it is for me. This weekend part of the St. Thomas Aquinas team is headed to Jacksonville for the Bob Hayes meet. It’s always a fun time when my teammates and I get to go out of town. This is prime time bonding and the excitement is real.
Hey guys it’s Kendall again. Here’s a first. This weekend the meet is optional, but of course yours truly is required to attend. It’s all good though I’m definitely not bitter about it it’s just another opportunity to run a fast time and improve. As for last week big shout out to my girls team at St. Thomas Aquinas on the win at Sam Burley. So proud of my girls.
St. Thomas Aquinas junior Kendall Ellis will be blogging for us during the 2013 track and field season. Kendall earned her second consecutive title in the 400 meters at the 4A state meet and is looking for number three this year. She recently finished fifth at the Brooks PR Invitational. Follow along on her journey throughout the year.
