Somerset Academy Pembroke Pines Sr. Aleesa Samuel has proven she is one of the best sprinters and hurdlers in Florida and the nation. She is undefeated in the 100m and the 100mH this outdoor season. She is Fl #3 in the 100m with an 11.67 and Fl #1, US #1 in the 100mH with a 13.12. Her 13.12 is not only FL #1 this season but is FL #1 All-Time and US #15 All-Time. Indoors this year she was 2nd in the 60mH at Nike Indoor Nationals with an 8.25. In 2023, in the 2A State Meet she won the 100 (11.44), the 110mH (13.67), and the 200 (23.84). She also won the 60mH at the 2023 New Balance Nationals (8.27). In 2022, she won the 2A 100mH in 13.73 and was 3rd in both the 100 (11.75) and the 200 (24.49). She was 2nd in the 100mH at the Brooks PR Invitational in 13.93.
