Annabella Tomasic winning last year's ROC at the 24th FLRUNNERS.COM INVITATIONAL
Only 8 girls have ever broken 18 minutes at Holloway Park's 5K course in Lakeland. Two of them will be racing this weekend in the 25th FLRUNNERS.COM INVITATIONAL. Cambridge (Christian) School's Eliana Black, won the Seffner Christian Invitational on September 9th, 2023 with the 6th fastest time of 17:54.60. She is running in the Varsity girls' race on Friday night. The 2nd fastest time ever was run by Annabella Tomasic of Lake Highland Prep just one month later. Tomasic, a 7th grader at the time won the 24th FLRUNNERS.COM Race of Champions with a 17:42.72. Tomasic is hoping to defend her title on Saturday in the Race of Champions. The meet record and fastest time ever on the Holloway Park course was run by Carly McNatt of IMG on September 27th in the 20th FLRUNNERS.COM INVITATIONAL when she ran a blistering 17:19.76.
