The fast times from the course at The New World Fall Spectacular dominated the boys top 500 rankings in week 8 of the FHSAA season. Junior Marcelo Mantecon of Belen Jesuit established a new Florida all-time boys XC 5K of 14:33 as he took the lead and pressed the pace the entire race. Senior Joshua Hicks of Chiles HS joined him as the two boys went Sub- 15:00. Hicks was second in 14:57. 53 boys ran Sub-16:00.
