Some incredible story lines from this years 2024 FHSAA State XC Meet. Below is a merge of the girls 1A-4A races. I've bolded the individual State champions. Interestingly, at the top, of the top 6 times, #1, 3, 4 and 6 all came from the divisional Champions.
The 4A State champion was Sr. Mackenzie Roy of Spruce Creek. She had the fastest time of the day in her winning effort of 17:19.50. She took control of the race early, pressed the pace and dominated a strong field of girls by 45 seconds. Roy left no doubt who the #1 girl in the State is at this time.
The # 2 time of the day went to Fr. Madison Muller of Sarasota Riverview who was the 4A runner-up.

The 3rd fastest time of the day went to Sr. Margaret Bartlow of North Bay Haven. The FSU commit left no doubt who the top ranked girl in 2A is. Bartlow was one of four girls to run under 18:00 on the day with her 17:56.20. She won against a 2A field that included last years State champion, Annabella Tomasic of Lake Highla...
