We are just over halfway through the FHSAA regular season 2025 Cross Country season. IMG, based upon their times from the North Port XC Invitational, hold down the number one spot. The anticipated showdown between the Belen Jesuit boys and the IMG boys at the Great American XC Festival in Cary, NC last weekend did not materialize. IMG's number one runner did not run. Belen managed a fifth place finish behind Marcelo Mantecon's repeat win and a strong run by their number two runner, Armando Cruz. IMG, however, showed some of their strength with an 11th place finish. We may see the battle this Saturday as Belen and IMG are both scheduled to run at the New World Fall Spectacular in Jacksonville. The race will be live streamed on FLRunners/MileSplit FL.
